Kruger conservation fees 2026/27
What it costs per person per day to go into Kruger National Park from 1 November 2026, and how the fees work when you're staying in Marloth Park.

From 1 November 2026 a South African adult pays R140 a day to enter Kruger, and a child aged 2 to 11 pays R70. Children under 2 go in free. If you're staying in Marloth Park, you only pay on the days you drive into the park.

Who pays when, if you stay in Marloth Park
Marloth Park is outside Kruger, across the Crocodile River, so staying here costs nothing in park fees. You pay the daily fee at the gate, usually Crocodile Bridge, on each day you drive in. A family that spends four nights in Marloth and goes into Kruger on two of those days pays for two days.
People staying inside Kruger pay for every day they're in the park, including the day they arrive. With a Wild Card you don't pay daily conservation fees at all. Show the card and your ID at the gate.
Is a Wild Card worth it?
A Wild Card is a yearly pass to SANParks parks. The 2026/27 prices hadn't been released by 26 October 2026, so these are the prices for the year to 31 October 2026:
| Card | South Africans (All Parks) | International (All Parks) |
|---|---|---|
| Individual | R930 | R4,680 |
| Couple | R1,525 | R7,310 |
| Family | R1,870 | R8,745 |

With last year's card prices and the new daily fee of R140, a South African on their own needs about seven days in Kruger in a year before an individual card pays for itself. A couple needs about six days. A family of two adults and two children, paying R140 and R70 a head, needs about five. If you live nearby or come to Marloth more than once a year, the card usually works out cheaper. We'll update this when the new prices are out.
Busy days and pre-booking
In school holidays, over Easter and over the festive season, SANParks limits how many day visitors each gate lets in. In past years it has also asked day visitors to pre-book and pay a small booking fee. We'll add this year's dates and fees once SANParks announces them. People staying overnight inside the park aren't affected by the day-visitor limits.
